bill’s produce store, brighton
Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 18:39
bill’s in brighton is my kind of place. a large warehouse space dedicated to good quality, local and seasonal food. when i first visited bill’s last year i fell in love and since then it is the first place i head to when i visit brighton.
bill’s has everything an indulgent foodie with money in her purse could want. and if you’re not spending your pennies then you can still satisfy your senses by looking at and smelling the lovely produce.
pea, broad bean and feta salad

this pea, broad bean and feta salad is scarily similar to a salad i made back in may. sorry for being so uninspiring but the key difference here, and the reason for posting details is the shallot dressing.
this punchy dressing has a kick that comes from both the mustard and the shallot. it is a great complement to the sweet, green flavours of the salad and the gentle creaminess of the feta. it’d also be nice over a potato salad.
healthy eating – getting started

if you’ve decided to try and eat a bit more healthily, by boosting your fruit and vegetable intake, it’s worth thinking about how to get things kick-started.
think about which fruit and vegetables you and your family like then stock up on these. also, think about the meals you cook that have a good fruit and vegetable content and schedule these into a meal planner for the week - just list what you will eat on each day and check if you’re likely to get up to 5 portions.
read more over at the daily tiffin, a blog that helps people have a healthy family lifestyle. i'll be writing about healthy eating, for the daily tiffin, every fortnight.
slightly technical question
Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 17:40 are people having problems with my rss feed? things are looking a little odd to me but i'm not sure if that's translating into problems for you. let me know if there's anything odd/wrong from your perspective.
any other random bits of feedback welcome too... i'm looking at revamping things in the next month or two so any and all ideas welcome.
thanks!
