violet valentine


david and i spent last weekend drinking valentines. this weekend he's in korea drinking soju - i don't think there's much comparison!


to make your valentines, muddle 2 raspberries, 3/4 ounce maraschino liqueur (i used the cognac from a posh jar of morello cherries ) and 1/2 ounce violet syrup. strain into two flutes and top with bubbly (we used prosecco), garnishing with a twisted lemon peel strip.

That does look gorgeous. Did you all try to create this with Chambord? Or would it be to over powering?

i've not tried chambord mace but it sounds amazing and would, i think, be worth a try.
