it was david’s birthday last week so we’ve been celebrating. this champagne cocktail was a favourite, with a rich elegant flavour. it’d be great if you’re looking for something special for the forthcoming festivities. for each drink, 1 shot cognac, ½ shot cointreau or triple sec ( i much prefer cointreau), ¼ shot of maraschino liqueur and ¼ shot of lemon juice is stirred with ice, strained into a chilled glass and topped with champagne. gently stir and serve.
